Jon Corbin (formerly known as The Runaway) is a Canadian hip-hop & spoken word artist with lyrical themes of faith, love, family, social justice, and personal growth. Corbin is a veteran artist who has quietly carved a niche in Canada’s hip-hop community, collaborating with multiple Polaris Music Prize nominee Shad, Juno Award winner Caroline Brooks of The Good Lovelies, and many other revered emcees on both sides of the border. Over the past 12 years, Jon has performed on stages big and small, providing a dynamic show that represents the basic tenets of hip-hop: peace, love, unity, and having fun! Jon lives in Milton, Ontario with his wife and five children.
With lent over and spring in the air we have a number of exciting and creative gatherings planed.
Our Gatherings happen 6pm on Sunday at 128 Hughson St. N. (The Hooper Law building across from the Spice Factory).

A Community Potluck & House Show featuring: Jon Corbin Bring some food to add to our potluck supper and listen to songs and stories from our good friend Job Corbin. Jon is an amazing rapper, poet, and teacher.

May 6th – All Hands on Deck Music with Peter Tigchelaar Bring an instrument (or borrow something from our percussion bin) and learn some Benedictine & Taizé worship songs.
May 13th – God is our Mother We our fans of the Liturgists and we want to borrow from their Mother’s Day project that helps people reflect on God as not only our Father but also our Mother.
May 20th – Pentecost Reflection & Potluck Supper Pentecost is one of the Church Holidays that hasn’t become co-opted by Card & Chocolate companies. That being said Pentecost is just as festive as Christmas & Easter and deserves some celebrating. Bring some food to add to our supper and come learn about the early church having it’s first encounter with the Holy Spirit of God.
