Anabaptist Theology Part 1: Living as Diciples

An Intro to Anabaptist Theology
Part One: Living as Disciples
Teaching Segment by: Brian Bauman
Sunday, January,  13th, 2013

The Commons Church Community in Hamilton, Ontario will officially be entering into the tribe of Mennonite Church Eastern Canada (MCEC) in the Spring of 2013. To help us understand more about what this means for our little community we invited Brian Bauman of the MCEC to come talk to “The Commoners” about the Anabaptist Theology that the Mennonite Tribe holds so dear. Brian has been journeying with The Commons since 2011 as the MCEC Mission Council Minister. He has been a great resource to our Cohort Leadership team as we sought out a wider faith community to partner with.

In this recording Brian Bauman focuses his talk on Living as Disciples with an emphasis on “Jesus At the Centre”. Hebrews 2:12  and 1 Corinthians 3:11 provide the biblical focus for his talk.

We decided to record this teaching segment for the people in our community who were away. We also thought it would be good to have a record of some of the discussions we have been having as a new Mennonite Community, and that people who join our community in the future may want to listen in on these topics and conversations.
